hey, I was wondering if you thought tattoos like this were just a random fad or if you think that they’re classic (and classy)? because i’ve been seeing them a lot recently, but I don’t want to get something that’s just a passing fad and that everyone regrets getting something done in this style…
This is actually my favourite style of tattoo. Obviously it is impossible to tell what the future holds for tattooing, but in my opinion this style isn’t a fad at all and will have a timeless quality. This type of tattoo is built to last for the long haul and while it will naturally evolve and change I highly doubt it will ever be redundant
autumn am i doing it right?
Hey I’m a pale ass white guy who probably has not heritage or personal connection to native american culture but I’m going to put in on 53% of my body surface in a perversion of someone’s culture… is this a fad? or is this going to be staying around?? NO NO its totally okay and going to stick around. weird white guys have been doing it for years! you’re good!
Seriously bro, don’t actually do this. Its really nicely done as far as tattooing is concerned but don’t put that on your body. PLEASE don’t put that on your body. As a fellow white person, its just not a good idea. Not ours to cover our bodies with.
This is like running around wearing a Native Headdress because it’s “hip”, only it’s about 100x worse because it’s PERMANENT.
Tattoos are meant to be personal works of art that mean something to you, not flashy pieces of art that you think look cool. Put some fucking thought into your tattoos bro.
I had forgotten how butt hurt people get with Native American tattoos. Tattooing is built up of a mass of cultures from all over the world, imagery used in modern day tattooing comes from all over. Deal with it.
You going to kick off if someone has a Japanese Dragon tattooed on them? What if the have a nice Virgin Mary tattoo? What if they have an anchor and have never been a sailor? To say you can’t do tattoos with Native American themes is to say you can’t do 90% of tattoos being produced everyday.
For the record the conversation (as I viewed it) was about the style of the tattoo rather than its subject matter, and to the person who’s comment is in bold, sit down and shut the fuck up.
